Alexis Nicolas plans to send Regian Eersel to shadow realm at ONE Fight Night 25 redo: “I will score a KO”

Alexis Nicolas plans to put his power on display when he runs it back with Regian Eersel at ONE Friday Fights 25 on Prime Video.

This Friday night, October 4, Nicolas will put his ONE lightweight kickboxing world championship on the line in one of the most anticipated rematches of the year. In April, 'Barboza' shocked the world with a sensational five-round showing against Eersel to take home his first 26 pounds of ONE Championship gold.

This time around, he'll look to prove that his win against 'The Immortal' was no fluke.

To do it, he plans on using his power to put away Eersel and establish himself as one of the best pound-for-pound strikers in the sport today. He told ONE Championship:

“For the next fight, I’m going to show I’m a very powerful fighter – and I can do everything. So, a lot of crazy punches, crazy, crazy footwork. But I will score a KO in the next fight for sure."

Alexis Nicolas knows he'll have to fight smart if he wants to beat Regian Eersel for the second time

While Alexis Nicolas plans to make a statement against Eersel in their ONE Fight Night 25 headliner, 'Barboza' knows that if he hopes to go two-up on the Surinamese sensation, he'll have to fight smart.

"Eersel is too strong to fight like I would fight in the street. I have to use my IQ."

Nicolas' assessment of Eersel's skills is spot on. After all, 'The Immortal' was sitting on a 22-fight win streak that spanned eight years before his stunning loss at ONE Fight Night 21.

Will Eersel make the necessary adjustments and reassume his spot on the lightweight kickboxing throne inside the Mecca of Muay Thai, or will Nicolas prove once and for all that he's got Eersel's number?

ONE Fight Night 25 will air live via Amazon Prime Video in the United States and Canada on Friday, October 4, in U.S. primetime.
