Alexis Nicolas says he's in top form heading into "crazy" Regian Eersel rematch: "I'm in the best shape of my life"

ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion Alexis Nicolas is in the form of his life as he heads into another pivotal juncture of his career at ONE Fight Night 25 on Oct. 4. The Mahmoudi Gym standout runs it back with Regian Eersel in the main event of the bill, which emanates live from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

After doing what no man had done in the organization, hand 'The Immortal' a defeat on the global stage, the undefeated Frenchman (24-0) vows to pack an even better version of himself this Friday.

In an exclusive interview with ONE Championship, Alexis Nicolas said:

"I'm ready. I'm the best version of me. I'm in the best shape of my life now. So it will be a crazy fight."

Since joining the world's largest martial arts organization this year, 'Barboza' has picked up two back-to-back triumphs. He debuted with a crushing win over Magomed Magomedov before capturing the sport's most coveted prize against the Sityodtong Amsterdam man in April.

Though he seems to be evolving with each passing fight, this upcoming assignment could be unlike any he's faced throughout his journey. Eersel's motivation to pull one back over his rival and regain his crown is second to none, and the ever-dangerous striker should bring a far better strategy heading into this chance at redemption.

Alexis Nicolas craving another emphatic display vs. Regian Eersel

In Alexis Nicolas' opinion, he could have performed much better in his first fight with Regian Eersel earlier this year.

But without any option to change things of the past, the Frenchman promises to be on the hunt for a more impressive display in their sequel this Friday. In the same interview, he added:

“I felt good, like 12 years of work, it took a long time, but I showed the world who I am. But, I wasn’t happy because I wanted to win by KO. So it was a good win, but I want more.”

North American fans can watch this hotly anticipated showdown and the entire ONE Fight Night 25 card live in U.S. primetime for free this Friday, Oct. 4.
