Alexis Nicolas warns Regian Eersel not to mess up his face in lieu of potential acting gigs: “Tell Eersel to be careful with that”
ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion 'Barboza' Alexis Nicolas of France has a message for former opponent 'The Immortal' Regian Eersel ahead of their highly anticipated showdown this weekend.
Nicolas wants Eersel to take extra care and not damage his pretty face, because he wants to be an actor someday.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Nicolas revealed that he had aspirations of making it big in the film industry at one point in his career. He plans on revisiting that dream once his combat sports career is over.
'Barboza' said:
"Before I started martial arts, I was passionate about music. I played guitar. I love movies. I watched a lot of movies and I want to become an actor after my career as a fighter. So that was my passion. I also have a lot of love for my family."
As for his message for Eersel, Nicolas said:
"Just don’t take too many punches to my face. Tell Eersel to be careful with that."
Nicolas shocked the world last April at ONE Fight Night 21, when he snapped Eersel's eight-year unbeaten streak in ONE Championship.
'Barboza' dropped 'The Immortal' early in their first encounter, and then cruised to a five-round unanimous decision win to take the gold. Now, the two are ready to run it back.
