Ali Abdelaziz brings up "young eagle" Umar Nurmagomedov to taunt Conor McGregor following latter's promotion of upcoming Bare Knuckle event
Ali Abdelaziz has opted to taunt Conor McGregor, after responding to the Irishman's BKFC promotional tweet on social media.
McGregor and Abdelaziz have a long running rivalry, as the Dominance MMA CEO manages the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Umar Nurmagomedov. 'The Notorious' has also previously taken aim at the manager during his UFC pressers, labeling him a "rat" and an "informant."
Despite 'The Eagle' having hung up his gloves back in 2020, the bad blood between the Russian's outfit and McGregor has never wavered, with Abdelaziz recently opting to trade another jibe at the Irishman's expense.
Earlier this year, Conor McGregor announced he had purchased an ownership stake in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). He has since appeared at recent press events for the promotion, as well as promoted the upcoming events on social media. Recently, McGregor shared a snap of the upcoming BKFC 63 card, which takes place this weekend. He tweeted:
"TOMORROW! @bareknucklefc"
Abdelaziz then wasted no time in responding, opting to plug UFC bantamweight Umar Nurmagomedov, who is set to face-off against Cory Sandhagen at UFC Abu Dhabi this weekend. The MMA manager also referred to McGregor's history with Dagestani fighters.
He tweeted:
"Tomorrow Umar Nurmagomedov, young eagle, I'm sure you are familiar with all the Eagles. Smash your face tune. Tune in tomorrow."

Conor McGregor drops major update regarding his UFC return against Michael Chandler
Conor McGregor appears to have confirmed that he is finally set to step back into the octagon in December against Michael Chandler.
The Irishman has been out of action since his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier back in 2021. During the fight, McGregor suffered a serious leg break which had looked set to end his career.
'The Notorious' then appeared as a coach opposite 'Iron' for season 31 of 'The Ultimate Fighter', with the pair expected to face-off before the end of 2023. That bout never came to fruition, however, and their clash was rebooked for UFC 303 in June earlier this year.
Once again though, the bout fell through after Conor McGregor suffered a broken toe whilst training. Whilst there has yet to be any confirmation by the UFC about the rebooking of the fight, McGregor's response to a fan on social media has suggested it will be this year.
A fan wrote to McGregor on X:
"December champ?"
To which McGregor wrote back:
"Yes"
