Ali Abdelaziz demands Mark Hamill be stripped of citizenship after Star Wars actor's controversial July 4th tweet
Ali Abdelaziz has seemingly criticized veteran Hollywood star Mark Hamill after the latter's tweet on the occasion of the United States of America's Independence Day (July 4). Abdelaziz suggested that Hamill ought to be divested of his US citizenship.
Hamill put forth a tweet on July 4, 2024, referencing the US Capitol attack. A mob invaded and ransacked several parts of the US Capitol Building in Washington, DC, on Jan. 6, 2021.
Multiple American media outlets reported that the attack was carried out by Donald Trump supporters who believed the 2020 Presidential elections were rigged. Joe Biden took over as POTUS (President of the United States) later that month. A number of individuals who invaded the building subsequently faced legal action.
Meanwhile, Trump was accused of inciting the attack. Amid various other cases filed against him, the former POTUS has faced accusations of having utilized Russian interference to ascend to the Presidential office in the 2016 elections.
The SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) recently increased Presidential powers, which is believed to have bought Trump time and likely circumvented prosecution until the 2024 Presidential elections this November. Ergo, the SCOTUS decision has been deemed a major victory for Trump.
In Hamill's tweet, he alluded to the aforementioned variables at play and posted an upside-down US flag. In America, it's considered a sign of condemnation and opposition to the nation's current political state and/or a particular legislation/decision. His tweet read as follows:
"BREAKING NEWS After vastly expanding Presidential power, Supreme Court now considers moving #IndependenceDay to January 6th."
Ex-Donald Trump Cabinet member, Richard Grenell, hit back at Mark Hamill over the tweet. The former Acting Director of National Intelligence seemed to advise Hamill to take the post down. He wrote:
"Truly disgusting post on Independence Day. Delete your hate."
Moreover, Dominance MMA founder and CEO, Ali Abdelaziz, opined that Mark Hamill's US citizenship should be taken away. Abdelaziz replied to Grenell's tweet and wrote:
"They should take away citizenship, disgusted."

Ali Abdelaziz and Mark Hamill support rival political parties
Ali Abdelaziz is an Egypt-born US resident, whereas Mark Hamill was born and resides in the US. It appears as though their political leanings are considerably different. The MMA manager has consistently expressed his support for Republican Party politician and former POTUS, Donald Trump.
Besides, over the years, Ali Abdelaziz has faced criticism from certain sections of the American socio-political dominion. His critics, including UFC icon Conor McGregor, have insinuated that he was involved in anti-American activities and was allegedly affiliated with extremist organizations.
On the contrary, Hamill has long been a vocal supporter of the Democratic Party and a staunch critic of Trump. The 72-year-old actor, who portrayed the iconic role of 'Luke Skywalker' in the 'Star Wars' Hollywood franchise, has unwaveringly endorsed current POTUS Joe Biden. The actor notably met President Biden and opened the White House Press Briefing earlier this year.
