Ali Abdelaziz promises to never let Colby Covington fight for a UFC title again after recent comments: "If I see you, I promise you, I will slap you"

Colby Covington and prominent MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz have been at each other's throats since the welterweight challenger changed gears with the heel turn in his pursuit of gold. Most recently, Covington triggered the ire of Abdelaziz for his profanity-laced tirade against Belal Muhammad's performance at UFC 304 for the welterweight throne.

'Remember the Name' executed a solid game plan to test the mettle of Leon Edwards en route to a unanimous decision victory. While the bout wasn't the most compelling spectacle, Muhammad's dominance and wrestling pedigree shined through regardless.

However, Covington had some choice words for the display and dragged Abdelaziz's name in the torrent of the verbal diatribe. Speaking in an interview with Submission Radio, Covington stated:

"I can tell you who lost and that's the fans... Belal, the racist juice monkey, won? Now that he finally made his first cheque off the prelims he can finally fix that d*ldo on his face or maybe get his teeth fixed. Those things are nasty and rotten. That's only if Ali [Abdelaziz] doesn't take his money because we know his sc*mbag manager is a thief."

Abdelaziz, who in the past has also engaged in a public scuffle with Covington, fired back at the former UFC 170-pound interim champion on X, threatening to "slap" him if they cross paths:

"@ColbyCovMMA you are 2-3 in your last fights [and] you haven’t beaten [any] current UFC fighter since 2018. I will make sure you will never fight for a title again. And if I see you, I promise you, I will slap you again like I did at the Palm [Palms Casino Resort]. Keep bully name out of your mouth you are a h*e."

When Ali Abdelaziz mocked Colby Covington's American idealist gimmick

Colby Covington leaned heavily into the prideful patriotic American image seemingly as part of his character shift recognizing that he might be cut from the UFC roster in 2017.

'Chaos' is often spotted with the 'Make America Great Again' merchandise at UFC events— a slogan popularized by former United States Donald Trump. He stays true to his character throughout, even after losses, as displayed following his loss against Leon Edwards at UFC 296.

However, the gimmick has ruffled a few feathers over the years, including MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz. The 46-year-old wasn't impressed by Covington's conduct and lashed out at the American on X, writing:

"ColbyCovMMA please stop talking about America, you are everything America is not about, America is great and you suck."
