"Ali having a battle against himself" - Dillon Danis shares hilarious take on heated social media exchange between Kamaru Usman and Belal Muhammad
A heated social media exchange between former UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman and freshly minted divisional kingpin Belal Muhammad has been making the rounds lately. Fans and fellow fighters are sounding off on the banter between the two.
ESPN MMA posted highlights of the social media beef on Instagram, with Usman saying:
"Alright, enough of the nice guy... you were never chasing me. You were barely in the rankings when I dominated the division. FYI I have a win over Leon [Edwards] son."
Muhammad clapped back by saying:
"Dominated the division? [You] beat [Jorge] Masvidal twice and went to cardio kickboxing with Colby [Covington] twice (Colby sucks). [You] were protected by the UFC... Now you can barely walk. Your podcast sucks. And your part in Black Panther sucked."
Here's the exchange as posted by @espnmma on Instagram:
Outspoken social media personality and former BJJ brown belt world champion Dillon Danis commented on the post, citing a dilemma by Ali Abdelaziz, who is the manager of both Kamaru Usman and Belal Muhammad:
"Ali [Abdelaziz] having a battle against himself 😂"

The social media beef may have started or reignited after Kamaru Usman retweeted a wholesome video of Belal Muhammad interacting with fellow titleholder UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. The 155-pound king was seen teaching Muhammad how to hold his belt properly in a photoshoot.
Here's Usman's tweet on the video:
"Islam [Makhachev] is a good man. Had to teach him [Muhammad] how to hold the belt 🤦🏿♂️"
Muhammad replied to Usman's tweet with:
"He also taught me how to clean your fingerprints off it 🤓"
'The Nigerian Nightmare' then clapped back with:
"Whose blueprint did you copy to help you win that fight [with Leon Edwards] 😏😏. Damn at least say thank you."
