Aljamain Sterling and Raul Rosas Jr. have some unsettled beef
Aljamain Sterling has revealed that he has some beef with newcomer UFC bantamweight prospect Raul Rosas Jr. The 18-year-old recently secured his debut win over Jay Perrin at UFC 282 and became the youngest fighter in the history of the promotion. Following his win, the youngster called out the champion of the division for a fight.
'Funk Master' responded to Rosas Jr. on Twitter and later on during a podcast with his teammates. He spoke about why he dislikes the youngster following a sparring incident:
"I told him like, I was taking it easy for the day, just trying to get a sweat in you know, not go crazy. And then he was tryna like pass my guard but doing like this and DJ-ing on my head. I laughed, like chuckled, 'Okay this guy's being a little prick right now'. Like, I barely know this kid. But then I look over to the right and there's his dad with the f*****g camera, recording."
Rosas Jr.'s father did not ask the champion for permission to record him or even inform him that he is recording. Aljamain Sterling was not very impressed with this and stated that someone needed to teach them some manners.

Raul Rosas Jr. claims he can finish Aljamain Sterling
Raul Rosas Jr. recently became the youngest UFC fighter at UFC 282 when he made his debut against Jay Perrin. He submitted his opponent in the very first round and made a huge impression. The 18-year-old is riding on a high, and his grappling abilities have caught the eye of fans and fellow fighters alike. While on The MMA Hour hosted by Ariel Helwani, he made this bold claim:
"If they offered me a fight for the UFC belt right now, I can like not only go out there and win but I can also finish whoever has the belt. Right now it's Aljamain Sterling and you know, I'm ready."
According to Rosas Jr. his confidence stems from his faith in his abilities. He believes he has what it takes to dethrone Aljamain Sterling, who is one of the most dominant grapplers in the division and has even promised a finish.
