Aljamain Sterling reacts to Conor McGregor's latest "jacked" pictures

Aljamain Sterling has weighed in on some of Conor McGregor's recent photos in which the UFC megastar appears to be "jacked."

McGregor last competed in a lightweight bout against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. The matchup witnessed 'The Notorious' suffer a gruesome leg injury and lose to Poirier via first-round TKO.

McGregor hasn't fought ever since. However, he's been working hard towards his recovery and return. The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion has suggested that his comeback fight will transpire in 2023, likely at welterweight.

Furthermore, Conor McGregor has been bulking up during his hiatus. He consistently posts pictures of his hulking physique on social media. Many have cited McGregor's jacked look in his pictures as evidence that he's been utilizing banned PEDs (Performance Enhancing Drugs) during his time away from the octagon.

His detractors often highlight that McGregor withdrew from the USADA testing pool a few months after his injury and wasn't tested in 2022. In an edition of The Weekly Scraps podcast, UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling touched upon the ongoing speculation concerning McGregor's jacked pictures and alleged steroid use. Sterling stated:

"Only Conor McGregor could post a picture like, these awkward selfie-looking things and get away with it -- because anyone else who did anything like that would get looked at as like a creep or weird. But Conor can do whatever the hell Conor wants, right? He's Conor McGregor."
"The guy is jacked as ever. I'd like to know what he's on because his arms are ginormous. His head, his chest, he's jacked, bro. He's looking like a bodybuilder now."

Chael Sonnen believes Conor McGregor is trolling fans with his jacked pictures

In an edition of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani in November 2022, MMA fighter-turned-analyst Chael Sonnen suggested that Conor McGregor was simply trolling fans with his jacked photographs.

Sonnen opined that McGregor had insinuated that he left the USADA testing pool due to his use of steroids. Regardless, Sonnen believes that the Irishman is simply jesting.

Furthermore, Chael Sonnen alluded to the fact that 'The Notorious' has been traveling the world on his multi-million-dollar Lamborghini yacht. He explained that McGregor pulled out of the USADA testing pool as he didn't want to receive a whereabouts violation from USADA while globetrotting. Indicating that McGregor isn't using steroids, 'The Bad Guy' said:

"Conor's clean. He's been trolling. He's been having fun with people. Come on, a guy doesn't go out and do a crime and then document the crime. Conor put the pictures out. He's having fun with people, he's clean."
