Aljamain Sterling shares five-word reaction as he looks back at grappling with Jamahal Hill
Ahead of his featherweight debut at UFC 300 versus Calvin Kattar, Aljamain Sterling was spotted grappling with former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill. Sterling recently shared a five-word response a few months after the grappling session.
The 35-year-old featherweight, nicknamed 'Funk Master,' got this alias because of his unorthodox wrestling style. He started wrestling in 2004 and has trained with heavyweight king Jon Jones’s wrestling team and is also a two-time NCAA Division III All-American, who holds a record of 87-27.
Despite their different weight classes, 'Funk Master,' a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, was observed dominating and submitting Hill during the session. Post-training, he revealed his thoughts on the same on his YouTube channel and said:
"I don’t need to be 260 to dominate somebody... I know that I could lot better than people may want to admit because they can’t wrap their head around someone that much smaller than them being able to control them and pin them down and submit them but this is reality."

Before headlining UFC 300 with Alex Pereira, Jamahal Hill was seen grappling with Sterling at the UFC Performance Institute. The clip, which went viral, was reshared by ESPN MMA on Instagram.
It caught the attention of 'Sweet Dreams' who commented on the post and stated:
"Always an honor to work it and learn from one of the best in the game!!!"
At UFC 300 however, Pereira overpowered Hill and won the bout via KO/TKO in round one. 'Sweet Dreams' who intends to get back to winning ways, will take on Jiří Procházka at UFC 311.
