Aljamain Sterling and Rebecca Cruz spend time together as 'Funk Master' prepares to make featherweight debut
Aljamain Sterling had been vocal about his struggle to make weight for bantamweight several times in the past. He decided to make the eventual move up to featherweight after losing the 135-pound title to Sean O'Malley at UFC 292.
Sterling will make his featherweight debut against Calvin Kattar this weekend. As 'Funk Master' is getting ready to attempt a run at the second UFC title, he took some time off from the grueling training camp and spent time with Rebecca Cruz.
The 34-year-old shared pictures of their date night on Instagram. The caption to the post read:
"Long overdue date night."
Sterling and Kattar will fight on the preliminary card of the milestone UFC 300 pay-per-view event. At the time of this writing, Sterling is the -170 betting favorite over Kattar, who is a +142 underdog.
