"Already a legend" - Fans sing Jonathan Haggerty's praises in world title win over bantamweight MMA champ Fabricio Andrade

The heated rivalry between Jonathan Haggerty and Fabricio Andrade reached its peak at ONE Fight Night 16 in November 2023. Then, they fought for the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Haggerty, who already held the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title, secured a second-round knockout finish over Andrade to claim his third world title in ONE Championship.

The promotion recently looked back at 'The General's' incredible performance on its official YouTube channel by posting the full fight replay:

"Before two-sport ONE World Champion Jonathan Haggerty defends the bantamweight Muay Thai throne against flyweight kickboxing king Superlek at ONE 168: Denver on September 6, check out his battle for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing crown with MMA titleholder Fabricio Andrade at ONE Fight Night 16 in 2023!"

The British combat sports superstar made the ONE bantamweight MMA king look like an amateur by piecing him up with powerful and accurate combinations until he got the finish at the 1:57 mark of the second round.

Due to this impeccable showing, fans couldn't help but give Haggerty his much-deserved flowers as users @weirdcrunkygremlin1449, @smorgasborgas, @mantisgardens1375, and @sqd8r commented:

"Jonathan Haggerty is already a Legend! What fighter!
"The way Haggerty walked him down when he was hurt was cold AF"
"Haggerty reminds me of that person that knows the secret video game character and knows all the combos..."
"Unbelievable. Haggerty went away and took it up to the next level. I never thought he would make it back to the top but he has become, incredibly, even better than before. This was a master class. You could see the crispness and the fitness was next level. Andrade is no mug, he came in for the fight and looked as good, if not better then ever but he was clearly outmatched here. And Haggerty couldn't even use his elbows. Incredible."
