Anatoly Malykhin says immersing in nature is the perfect tool for recovery: "Vitality coursing through my veins"
Ice baths are cool and all, but Anatoly Malykhin prefers to get his recovery straight from its source — through good old mother nature.
The three-division MMA world champion, who has now settled with his family in Thailand, recently made a trip back to his home country of Kemerovo, Russia.
Before returning to battle against 'Oumar' Reug Reug Kane at ONE 169: Atlanta in November, Malykhin took some well-deserved rest and relaxation by enjoying the mountains of Alai in Siberia.
According to 'Sladkiy', all he needs is to submerge himself back into his roots to make sure his body, mind, and spirit are in tip-top shape for the challenges that lie ahead.
The Russian triple champ told ONE in an exclusive interview:
"I love immersing myself in the fresh air, the crystal-clear water, and the rushing rivers," he said. "While many seek solace in ice baths, I find solace in these mountain rivers, their vitality coursing through my veins."
Here's an adorable clip of Malykhin enjoying the great outdoors with his son, Leo:
Moreover, Anatoly Malykhin also hopes more people will appreciate the true beauty of nature, particularly the majestic glory of the Altai Republic. He added:
"It's a unique treasure in Russia, and I hope people appreciate it for what it is."
