Anissa Meksen says Kana didn't surprise her at all-legends match at ONE Friday Fights 92: "I trained with her three years ago"

Anissa Meksen cruised to a dominant win over Kana at ONE Friday Fights 92, and the French-Algerian superstar admits nothing from the Japanese truly troubled her in their atomweight kickboxing tilt.

'C18' handed the debuting fighter a night to forget inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium last Friday, Dec. 20, putting her go-to weapons to good use throughout the nine-minute encounter.

The 36-year-old broke 'Krusher Queen' down behind her usual combinations and fluid movements to keep the Japanese attacks at bay until the unanimous decision was awarded in her favor at the end.

Speaking to members of the media during the post-event press conference, Anissa Meksen explained why her foe's game did not cause her any trouble at all:

"No [nothing surprised me], because I trained with her three years ago and I know her. So I'm not surprised. She changed her game sometimes, but nothing new."

While Kana slumped to a forgettable start to life in the world's largest martial arts organization, Meksen picked up a much-needed victory to push her resume to 104-7.

The multi-time world champion suffered back-to-back defeats in world title contests to 'The Queen' Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom and Jackie Buntan heading into this fixture, but another trademark performance saw her bounce back into the winner's column with ease inside the Mecca of Muay Thai.

Anissa Meksen wants Jackie Buntan rematch next

Nothing motivates Anissa Meksen more than avenging the most recent defeat — against Buntan — as the New Year beckons.

The kickboxing veteran crossed paths with the Filipino-American star for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title at ONE 169 last month.

Though Meksen thinks she did enough to get her hand raised, Buntan was awarded the victory by unanimous decision — a result that still does not sit well with her.

On a chance to run it back with the Boxing Works athlete, Meksen had this to say during the same post-fight presser:

"For me, I [will win] this fight for sure. If [there is a] rematch, I'm okay with this. But for me, I'm the winner. For me, I'm without the belt tonight, but for me, I'm the champion. Simple."
