Anthony Joshua and Turki Alalshikh unite to persuade Tyson Fury to finalize rematch timeline

Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury is a matchup that's in the works, with footage of a FaceTime call between the pair, mediated by Turki Alalshikh, having made the rounds on social media. On X, the Saudi Arabian minister posted a clip of himself calling Fury.

While in Joshua's company, Alalshikh called on Fury to 'get the job done,' which means beating Oleksandr Usyk in the pair's upcoming rematch. That would then lead to a potential bout between Joshua and Fury being for undisputed heavyweight gold, if 'AJ' himself beats Daniel Dubois this weekend.

However, Joshua was quick to interject with a reminder that he does need to Fury to beat Usyk for them to fight. He said:

"Either way, either way. I'm waiting for you."

Alalshikh echoed the exact same sentiments as Fury promised to beat Usyk come fight night.

"Either way, he waiting for you. In the first or second quarter of [20]25, okay? AJ waiting for you and the world waiting for you."

The bout between Joshua and Fury is among the most anticipated in modern heavyweight boxing history. Whether the matchup truly does come to fruition remains to be seen, as Joshua's priority appears to be related to reclaiming the belts and avenging his losses to Usyk.

Meanwhile, Fury has been on record stating that he is only interested in earning the largest purse possible with little thought given to how it may impact his legacy.

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have been linked to a fight for years now

There was a time when the heavyweight boxing division was dominated by conversations surrounding Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder. All three men were undefeated at one point, but 'AJ' and 'The Gypsy King' were regarded as superior technical boxers and frequently linked to a matchup.

Unfortunately, Fury proved to be an incredibly tough negotiator and the bout kept falling through. Eventually, Fury went on to box Wilder, dragging him to a draw before TKO'ing him twice in subsequent bouts. Now, he appears to be on a collison course with 'AJ,' thanks to none other than Turki Alalshikh.
