"Are you ready, Takeru?" - Rodtang calls for long-awaited showdown with Takeru Segawa after beatdown of Denis Puric

We all know that there's a striker out there, and Rodtang Jitmuangnon is just waiting to get his gloves on.

Last Friday at ONE 167, ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang announced to the world that he's ready to settle an old dispute with Japan's kickboxing champion Takeru Segawa at the earliest opportunity.

The two superstars were formerly scheduled to headline ONE 165 on January 28 this year, but Rodtang was forced to withdraw from their kickboxing event after suffering a hand injury while training.

After defeating Denis Puric with flying colors in Bangkok, Rodtang is fired up about resuming their rivalry while the iron is still hot.

Speaking into the microphone during his ONE 167 in-Circle interview, Rodtang announced the following:

"I'm coming back to fight again, I want to fight Takeru. Are you ready, Takeru? Let's go!"

"Battle of the iron chins" - Rodtang and Denis Puric go the distance and deliver a crowd-pleasing night of pure violence

There were multiple points during Rodtang and Denis Puric's fight where we thought that one of them was for sure going to get knocked out.

Both men displayed great heart, discipline, and durability after fighting three whole rounds without stopping. Puric, for his part, barely survived the first round, absorbing Rodtang's best shots at full range, trying to stay conscious.

Miraculously, 'The Bosnian Menace' pulled through, entering into a swinging exchange with the champion. Despite losing to Rodtang via decision, Puric fulfilled his promise by delivering an incredibly violent and thrilling fight.

This week, ONE Championship captioned their insane kickboxing exchange with the appropriate title that read:

"Battle of the iron chins"
