Ariel Helwani reacts after shutting down "BS" influencer's question at Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry presser: "Enough with this disrespectful nonsense"

After an ill-mannered question an internet streamer asked Nate Diaz went viral ahead of his bout with Jorge Masvidal on July 6, Ariel Helwani criticized the unprofessional trend media members had started. One month later, Helwani dealt with a similar situation as he hosted a press conference for the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry event on July 18.

As the event neared its end, one of the fans Helwani prompted to speak into the microphone taunted Perry by asking for his reaction once he was "laying on the ground." The MMA Hour host quickly shut down the question before reacting to the incident on X.

Helwani tweeted:

"As long as I'm hosting these pressers, these BS 'influencer' questions will not fly. Enough with this disrespectful nonsense."

Immediately after rejecting the question, Helwani turned to Paul to ask the influencer why such incidents "happen every time." Paul dismissed the accusation of his involvement and did not directly answer the question, appearing to enjoy the situation.

With the press conference concluded the fighters will weigh in on July 19 before meeting in the ring the following night.

Just two days remain until Jake Paul and Mike Perry headline the next major boxing card on DAZN and the two fighters have already built up increasing interest in their matchup.

Following their highly publicized press conference, Paul and Perry faced off on stage while engaging in more face-to-face trash talk. The face-off ended with 'Platinum' screaming into the crowd as he has done all week.

As DAZN showed on their broadcast, the entire event will include 10 fights with the final five being on the pay-per-view main card. Retired UFC middleweight Uriah Hall and former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will kick off the main card at 9 p.m. ET / 1:00 a.m. GMT.
