Ariel Helwani recounts all of Dana White's career failures

Ariel Helwani is firing back after UFC President Dana White bashed him during his appearance on Paddy Pimblett's podcast.

During today's episode of The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani fact-checked White's claims about him supposedly being let go from ESPN and used it as an opportunity to bring up the UFC President's career shortcomings. Among the career shortcomings he brought up were White's boxing ventures, saying:

"I wish instead of the question counter we kept putting up when Dana White wants to talk about my failures, we talk about his failures. Cause that clock, that number would go up as well. How's Zuffa boxing going? How's that boxing show, that reality show you did going? How's the boxing manager career going? How's the tae bo career going? How's the surf league show going?"

The Canadian MMA host and journalist then brought up that anything that White has been involved with that didn't involve the Fertitta brothers or Endeavor has been a failure. He doubled down by targeting White's new venture, saying:

"Maybe this slap league is gonna be the one that hits cause you'll get all the MMA media boys to cover it. Maybe that'll be the big hit. Or maybe this F it Friday thing will be the big hit...Maybe there's a deep desire to see a 50-something-year-old man eat cheeto pancakes, maybe, I don't know...If it ain't involving the Fertitta's or Endevor, it ain't a hit. I can assure you of that."

Helwani and White have been at odds for years and it doesn't appear that they'll be making amends anytime soon. The MMA journalist has stuck up for himself and hasn't shied away from firing back when he's being targeted in the media.

What made Paddy Pimblett's remarks interesting is that he considers Ariel Helwani as well as other MMA journalists as content creators. He mentioned an instance where he felt the Canadian told him to back out of a paid interview to appear on his show, which was later dismissed on The MMA Hour.

While speaking with Dana White on his podcast, he mentioned that The MMA Hour host is among the journalists that have profited off him, saying:

"I hate all these journalists, especially the ones what earn off us. Ariel Helwani, in particular, loves earning money off fighters. Every decent job he's has, he's been sacked from. And now he's just a bias content creator. He hates on you (Dana White), hates on the UFC, and he even hates on me now. It proper annoys me." (16:35 - 16:51)

The podcast episode was a hot topic on social media as it led to a passionate response and resulted in fans siding with The MMA Hour host.
