During the show, Helwani also questioned why the mainstream media hasn't been holding the UFC president accountable for his heinous actions:

"Shame on everyone [in the media] for letting this slide because you wouldn't let it slide if it was someone else... There needs to be repercussions, there needs to be accountability. I don't think there will be. Prove me wrong... You don't touch a woman, you don't touch the mother of your kids, you don't touch your wife, you walk away."

The veteran journalist suggested that Dana White should consider asking himself what his kids would think of him after laying his hands on their mother:

"What are your kids going to say about you? What are your kids going to say about your legacy, about the way you treat fighters, about the way you treat people, about your business practices? What are your kids going to say about that video? What are your kids going to say about the kind of person that you are?"

What did Dana White's wife say about the incident?

In a recent statement given to TMZ, Dana White's wife Anne responded to the New Year's Eve incident with her husband. Anne explained that it was highly uncharacteristic of White to behave the way he did.

She elaborated that the duo were quite intoxicated at the time of the incident and that alcohol certainly played a part in things escalating to physical violence. White's wife added that the duo have since apologized to each other for their actions:

"To say this is uncharacteristic of him is an understatement - nothing like this has ever happened before. Unfortunately, we were both drinking too much on New Year's Eve and things got out of control, on both sides. We've talked this through as a family and apologized to each other. I just hope people will respect our privacy for the sake of our kids."
