Ariel Helwani shares his take on Nina-Marie Daniele's social media spat with MMA Guru

Ariel Helwani recently weighed in on the ongoing feud between Nina-Marie Daniele and YouTuber The MMA Guru that has transpired on social media. Both MMA content creators exchanged allegations against one another and found themselves in a contentious clash that now appears to be calming down somewhat.

During his show, Helwani admitted that he is not entirely clear on the specifics of the rift between Daniele and Guru. However, he acknowledged that both creators contribute fresh and innovative content to the MMA community, which has garnered them distinct fan bases.

The veteran combat sports journalist emphasized that if Daniele and Guru could resolve their differences and find common ground, it would create a much more positive environment for the reporting fraternity:

"I think that Nina Drama provides a great service to the MMA community. Not everyone has to do interviews as I do... On the flip side of things, you have my good friend MMA Guru; he provides a service and a voice to the fans as well, and everyone is able to pick and choose what they want."

Helwani added:

"I would say to everyone, peace and love, peace and love, peace and love. Get together; it's a lot more fun if you're on, you know, good terms. If people need to catch strays, they need to catch strays; that's just the way it is."

The conflict began when Daniele supported fellow journalist Amy Kaplan and sharply criticized Guru on X for his overt body-shaming comments earlier this month.

In response, Guru released a video on his YouTube channel, branding Daniele as two-faced. He argued that she overlooks body-shaming remarks made by her close friend, Sean Strickland while condemning him for similar behavior.

When The Schmo took aim at Ariel Helwani's integrity

Ariel Helwani and fellow journalist Dave Schmulenson, famously known as The Schmo, shared one of the most notable rivalries within the MMA community, with both personalities exchanging heated words at various times.

In April 2023, Schmulenson took to X to accuse Helwani of lying and of providing him with a fake email address when he sought advice. He also asserted that he had no involvement in the inappropriate joke made by Sean Strickland during their interview, a remark that prompted Helwani's strong disapproval.
