Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol: Full video highlights

In one of the most anticipated boxing matches of the year, Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol clashed for the undisputed light heavyweight title on Oct. 12. Originally set for June 1 but postponed due to a knee injury sustained by Beterbiev, the bout saw the IBF, WBC, and WBO champion Beterbiev defend his titles against WBA champion Bivol over 12 intense rounds.

Beterbiev, known for his terrifying knockout power, entered the fight with a flawless 20-0 record, all victories coming by stoppage. Bivol, on the other hand, brought his defensive expertise and unbeaten 23-0 record, having previously outboxed Canelo Alvarez. Oddsmakers listed Bivol as the slight favorite despite Beterbiev's finishing reputation.

The early rounds were defined by Bivol’s precision and movement, using jabs and combinations to keep Beterbiev at bay. However, Beterbiev’s relentless pressure and body shots started to wear down Bivol as the fight progressed.

By the middle rounds, Beterbiev had Bivol on the defensive, backing him into the ropes and unleashing powerful combinations.

In the championship rounds, Beterbiev’s aggressiveness intensified, landing heavy shots and causing visible damage to Bivol, whose left eye began to swell. However, Bivol’s defense remained strong, and the fight went the distance—ending Beterbiev’s perfect knockout streak.

After 12 grueling rounds, Beterbiev emerged victorious via majority decision (114-114, 115-113, 116-112), solidifying his status as the undisputed light heavyweight champion.
