“Ashamed” Shara Magomedov confesses to limiting his wife’s ice cream and coffee demands in early days of marriage due to poverty
UFC middleweight prospect Shara Magomedov recently shared how past hardships forced him to limit his wife's demands for ice cream and coffee. The 30-year-old is scheduled to return to action against Armen Petrosyan on Oct. 26, at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Magomedov revealed in an interview with Red Corner MMA how he stopped his wife, who belonged to a well-to-do family, from buying those products initially. He said:
"The new generation of girls are not used to it. I even feel a little bit ashamed telling you this. Sometimes my wife would get some coffee and ice cream, At some point, I had to restrict her from coffee. On other occasions, I had to restrict her from ice cream. Certainly, she was not ready for that."
He added:
"She must have thought that I was [being] stingy to her. But I explained that we could survive more days without the coffee or ice cream. And she understood me. After going through it, she became a completely different person."

'Shara Bullet' entered the UFC wielding a perfect 11-0 record with 10 finishes. He captured the vacant Arena Global light heavyweight championship with a TKO victory over Rodrigo Carlos in February 2022. He was last seen inside the UFC octagon against Michał Oleksiejczuk. He won the fight by unanimous decision and improved his UFC record to 3-0.
When Aljamain Sterling lashed out at fans' hype surrounding Shara Magomedov
Shara Magomedov improved his UFC record to 3-0 with a unanimous decision win against Michał Oleksiejczuk. The fight was awarded the 'Fight of the Night' honors and fans were thrilled by Magomedov's display inside the octagon.
However, former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling wasn't impressed with the victory. The way he sees it, fans have been unfair in their criticism of American middleweight prospect Bo Nickal while they seem to laud Magomedov's achievements in the Las Vegas-based promotion. Speaking on his YouTube channel after the conclusion of UFC Saudi Arabia, Sterling said:
"I didn’t think that fight was very impressive. There’s a big cultural problem and I don’t know what their religion is but it comes off that a lot of them are of Islamic faith. But some of those fans are so toxic... For you to be praising Shara the way you’re praising him and then sh*ting on Bo Nickal in the same breath in a similar performance, but one was an actual finish and dominated before, much sooner, versus a back-and-forth fight... And still thinking this guy is the next sent thing [is crazy]."
