Atomweight MMA queen Stamp Fairtex gets engaged to partner Anthony Duong
Stamp Fairtex received arguably her most important piece of jewelry.
The Thai megastar has held three separate world titles in ONE Championship, but the ring she received this past weekend might be the most important one of her personal life.
Stamp, the reigning ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion, appears to have said her life's most important "yes" after her partner Anthony Duong proposed to her this past weekend in Thailand.
Sportskeeda MMA's Nick Atkin first reported on the development:
"It appears Stamp Fairtex is engaged. Congratulations💍 #onechampionship."
Stamp is the only fighter in ONE Championship history to have held gold in MMA, Muay Thai, and kickboxing.
She first captured the ONE atomweight kickboxing world title when she beat Chuang Kai Ting for the strap at ONE: Kingdom of Heroes in October 2018.
Almost four months after her first world title win, Stamp added the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world championship to her collection after a unanimous decision win over Janet Todd.
Stamp eventually transitioned to MMA where she captured the ONE women's atomweight MMA world title in her second try.
Although she failed to capture the throne in her first bid against Angela Lee at ONE X, Stamp secured the vacant ONE women's atomweight MMA world title at the expense of Ham Seo Hee at ONE Fight Night 14.
Stamp Fairtex in recovery after suffering knee injury in training
Stamp Fairtex was supposed to headline the stacked ONE 167 card earlier this month, but her world title defense got postponed after she suffered an injury in training.
The ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion was supposed to defend her gold against close friend and training partner Denice Zamboanga at Impact Arena.
A torn meniscus, however, forced her out of what should've been her first defense of her MMA strap.
Stamp underwent surgery on May 20 and is now going through physical therapy.
