Aung La N Sang says underestimating Shamil Erdogan not an option: “That will be very unwise for me”

Former ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion 'The Burmese Python' Aung La N Sang of Myanmar maintains he isn't taking upcoming opponent, undefeated Turkish rising star Shamil Erdogan lightly by any means.

While Aung La N Sang still has his eyes on recapturing lost gold, the Myanma megastar says he knows well enough not to look past such a dangerous adversary in Erdogan.

In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, Aung La N Sang said he has tunnel vision regarding the fight with Erdogan and isn't even thinking of the belt right now.

"And in my head, there’s nothing past Shamil right now. I don’t look past Shamil and that will be very unwise for me to look past Shamil, so I don’t really wanna talk about one thing that really doesn’t matter."

It's no secret that Aung La N Sang is looking to reclaim his belts in ONE Championship.

That hardware is currently held by reigning and undisputed ONE heavyweight, light heavyweight, and middleweight MMA world champion 'Sladkiy' Anatoly Malykhin.

A victory for either Aung La N Sang or Shamil Erdogan could produce the next middleweight MMA world title challenger.
