Aussie legend John Wayne Parr confident Jonathan Haggerty and Liam Harrison could sell out Wembley Stadium
Jonathan Haggerty and Liam Harrison are two of the best British fighters of their respective generations, and all-time great John Wayne Parr believes the pair could spearhead a massive English card for ONE Championship.
In an interview with MMA Journal Canada, the multi-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion said Haggerty and Harrison could be at the forefront of a potential ONE Championship card at Wembley Stadium in London.
Parr said ONE Championship could rock out a banger of a card at the iconic stadium featuring the promotion's European stars, with Haggerty and Harrison taking two of the top spots in the event.
The Australian legend said:
"From all accounts, I heard [ONE Championship CEO] Chatri [Sityodtong] talking about possibly Wembley or somewhere like a massive stadium. And with the popularity of Liam and Haggerty, I can't see why they couldn't sell it."

Parr, through the conversation with MMA Journal Canada, added the possibility of Nico Carrillo and Bampara Kouyate boosting such a card at the 90,000-seater stadium.
While it's an intriguing card to make, Parr's main stars have their respective assignments to take care of in Denver in September.
Two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty will defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title against Superlek Kiatmoo9, the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 at Ball Arena.
Haggerty, who also holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title, aims to not just defend his throne, but also avenge his 2018 loss to Superlek when they squared off at Yokkao.
Harrison will also feature in the Denver card when he faces Thai legend Seksan in a catchweight Muay Thai bout.
Tickets for ONE 168 are available at Ticketmaster.
Liam Harrison says Jonathan Haggerty's legacy will be ruined if they fought
Jonathan Haggerty and Liam Harrison have been trading verbal jabs against each other for almost a year now, and things have been getting more volatile as time draws on.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports MMA Club, Harrison said Haggerty's legacy would be ruined if they ever fought inside the Circle.
Harrison said:
"Would he beat a 25-26 year old Harrison? No chance. If, and this is a strong possibility, because I punch harder than anyone he’s ever fought, if I body bagged him, which I believe I can still do then he’s fucked his legacy there. He’s ruined his own legacy because he’s knocked out by an old man so he should be careful with what he’s saying and just think about it."
