Bantamweight kickboxing king Jonathan Haggerty on how he deals with online critics: "You've got to enjoy the process"
Jonathan Haggerty doesn't let negative criticism take over his state of mind. In fact, he has trained himself to have a positive reaction to all the noise he receives online.
The British superstar remains one of the most successful and influential Muay Thai artists on the planet, due to his impressive fighting abilities and down-to-earth personality.
However, despite what he's done for the sport, there are many who still enjoy watching him fail.
On the Sky Sports MMA Club podcast, the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion explained how he has reacted to all the criticism online about his last performance in Denver at ONE 168:
"On social media, you get your comments there like, '49-second man.' But listen, you got to enjoy the process."
On Sept. 6, Jonathan Haggerty parted ways with the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title after getting knocked out in the first 49 seconds of the opening round by ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.
Previous to that eventful night, Haggerty defended his Muay Thai belt against Brazilian foe 'Demolition Man' Felipe Lobo with a stunning third-round knockout in Thailand.
Now, the Englishman holds only one belt - the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title.

"I want to defend my kickboxing belt" - Jonathan Haggerty prefers not to kill time and get back into the action
Jonathan Haggerty might not be the man to beat in Muay Thai anymore but he continues to hold a strong threshold in kickboxing.
Back in November 2023, 'The General' defeated MMA superstar Fabricio Andrade for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing belt in Thailand at ONE Fight Night 16, but he has yet to defend his crown.
With names like Alaverdi Ramazanov, Ilias Ennahachi, and Superlek Kiatmoo9, things can get busy real fast. As Haggerty said in an interview with ONE Championship before, it's something he's looking forward to doing:
"I want to defend my kickboxing belt. I don't want to hold up the division for too long."
