Belal Muhammad continues to roast Colby Covington for UFC Tampa loss by quoting 'Chaos's' "getting warmed up" line

Colby Covington lost to Joaquin Buckley at UFC Tampa via a third-round TKO (doctor's stoppage). Covington suffered quite a bit of damage from 'New Mansa', and a cut over his right eye ultimately forced the stoppage. Now, welterweight champion Belal Muhammad has mocked 'Chaos's' performance.

Post-fight, Covington claimed that he wasn't satisfied with the doctor's stoppage and that he was "just getting warmed up":

"I was just getting warmed up in that fight. I think it was tied 1-1, and I was starting to wear him down."

Muhammad recently told MMA on SiriusXM that he enjoyed watching Covington take damage against Buckley. He criticized the former interim champion's performance and claimed he doesn’t belong in the top 10 of the UFC welterweight division.

'Remember the Name' said:

"It felt so good just to watch him bleed and suffer. I was just hoping that the doctor would let it go a little bit more because now you open the door for Colby to make excuses. He’s already coming out with excuses... I don’t think he’ll beat anybody in the top 10 in the UFC... Maybe he’ll have one big fight against somebody, maybe, but there’s not a lot left for him.”

Jon Jones mocks Colby Covington

After Colby Covington's loss at UFC Tampa, he was critiqued by Jon Jones.

Prior to the final UFC event of 2024, Covington took a dig at Jones for not being willing to fight Tom Aspinall and also mocked him for his past allegations of domestic violence. The two have long been at odds with each other and were famously roommates briefly during college.

'Bones' did not back down on the chance to retort after Covington lost to Joaquin Buckley. He made fun of 'Chaos’s' claims that he could not train 100% as he was campaigning for President-elect Donald Trump. The heavyweight champion tweeted:

"Big shoutout to Colby Covington for skipping training to get President Trump ‘ready’—we all appreciate the sacrifice 🤡At least he got to see me win"
