Muhammad noticed McGregor's tweet and fired back by sharing a GIF of Khabib Nurmagomedov defeating McGregor.
In the caption, Muhammad mentioned that unlike 'The Notorious', he had zero submission losses in his MMA career.
"I also have zero taps."
McGregor and Nurmagomedov is considered one of the ugliest rivalries in UFC history. The two fighters locked horns at UFC 229 for the lightweight title in October 2018. There was a lot of bad blood in the lead-up to that encounter.
The night did not go well for 'Mystic Mac' as he was outclassed by the Dagestani for the majority of the fight. Nurmagomedov then proceeded to score a submission victory via a neck crank in the fourth round of the fight.
After the bout, 'The Eagle' climbed out of the octagon to attack McGregor's friend and teammate Dillon Danis, resulting in an all-out brawl between the two fighters' teams.
How many times has Conor McGregor lost via submission?
Conor McGregor has a professional MMA record of 22-6. Out of those six losses, four have come via submission.
The Irishman suffered his first submission defeat at the hands of Artemij Sitenkov in June 2008. The fight also marked the first loss of McGregor's professional career.
'The Notorious' was submitted for the second time in November 2010 when Joseph Duffy finished him via an arm-triangle choke in the opening round of the fight.
After that loss, McGregor went on a 15-fight win streak that included wins over fighters like Jose Aldo, Chad Mendes, Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway.
The Irishman then faced Nate Diaz in a welterweight showdown at UFC 196. That night, Diaz shocked the world by pulling off an incredible victory via a rear-naked choke in the second round of the fight.
McGregor's fourth submission loss was handed to him by Khabib Nurmagoemdov in their grudge match at UFC 229.
