Belal Muhammad gives fan hilarious advice on how to maintain diet during holiday season
No.4-ranked UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad tweeted a funny response to a fan asking him for dieting tips during the winter.
The fan with the handle @iamshoiabbtt remarked that it was difficult to work out during the winter season. With that, he asked Muhammad for tips.
Belal Muhammad replied with the following tweet:
"Before u eat anything unhealthy chug a glass of water and do 20 push-ups I bet it makes u not want to eat bad"
Belal Muhammad has had a spectacular run in the UFC welterweight division since 2019. Following a loss to Geoff Neal at UFC 143, the Chicago native went about building a nine-fight unbeaten streak.
The only setback he faced was when he fought now-divisional champion Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 187. The bout was declared a no contest due to an accidental eye poke that rendered Muhammad unable to continue.
Belal Muhammad last fought Sean Brady at UFC 280, where he was cornered by former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Muhammad secured a TKO finish in round two, marking his first knockout win in over 11 fights. He attributed his UFC 280 success to his training with Team Khabib.
With the result, Muhammad became the first person to hand Sean Brady his first professional loss.
Belal Muhammad's experience training with Khabib Nurmagomedov
Many believe that Khabib Nurmagomedov was instrumental in Belal Muhammad finding a spectacular victory at UFC 280. Muhammad himself has spoken about Khabib's team with a great level of respect and reverence.
At the UFC 280 pre-fight media scrum, Muhammad gave his thoughts on training with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev:
"In Chicago, I train with amazing wrestlers. This camp [Team Khabib] that I trained with [had] the best wrestlers, the best grapplers, the best stylistic guys for this fight [with Sean Brady]."
On having Khabib Nurmagomedov in his corner for his fight against Sean Brady, 'Remember the Name' said the following:
"It was amazing. It was a guy that you look up to. You know, [he's] a guy that I think of as the GOAT - the best fighter to ever do it. And, I'm training side-by-side with a guy who I think is the best lightweight in the world in [Islam] Makhachev. Their grappling is good, their striking is good - every single one of them is not trying to lose a round, not trying to lose a second. So it just brought a different competitiveness to the practices, competitiveness to myself - it changed my mindset."
