Belal Muhammad goes off on "fake guy" Sean Strickland: "Acts crazy for the internet"

Belal Muhammad recently took aim at Sean Strickland and revealed how the former middleweight champion acts when he's not in front of cameras. The welterweight contender and 'Tarzan' have been at odds for quite some time and have taken jibes at each other in a number of interviews.

'Remember The Name' is preparing to challenge Leon Edwards for the welterweight championship in the main event of UFC 304 tonight. The 36-year-old has been working towards his goal of becoming welterweight champion, however, he has kept an eye on the middleweight division, particularly Strickland, and has expressed interest in one day moving up to 185 pounds.

While speaking to Jon-Bernard Kairouz, 'Remember The Name' responded to comments that the former middleweight champion made about him in a previous interview. Muhammad sounded off on Strickland and claimed that he isn't genuine because he puts on a character when he knows cameras are rolling. He said:

"He's [Strickland] not really worth my time. Unless he wants to fight in the cage, which we've offered multiple times. So many people look at him and they think he's just a crazy guy. He's a fake guy. Acts crazy for the internet, for the clout, but he goes back home and sits there and Saturday night cartoons."

Belal Muhammad details scenario in which he'd fight Sean Strickland in the UFC

It doesn't appear as though Belal Muhammad and Sean Strickland's beef will be squashed any time soon, but the welterweight contender did detail a scenario that could make a UFC bout between them a reality.

During the aforementioned clip, 'Remember The Name' responded when asked whether he believes a bout against Strickland could eventually materialize. Muhammad mentioned that he believes it could happen but it would depend on other factors such as a title fight. He said:

"If he ends up getting the [middleweight] belt back somehow, I'm gonna go for my double champ status or if the UFC wants to do another BMF sort of belt, I'll slap him around in the cage for free."
