Belal Muhammad mocks Leon Edwards for hiring F1 sleep specialist for their UFC 304 fight
Belal Muhammad recently took a jibe at Leon Edwards after it was reported that he took extra measures to ensure he wouldn't be affected by the time of their main event bout. The UFC 304 main event took place after 5am BST and saw 'Remember The Name' earn a unanimous decision to become the new welterweight champion.
There was plenty of discussion surrounding the time of the event as it began at the usual 10pm ET time slot despite taking place in Manchester, England. The early morning time forced fighters to make adjustments to their routines in order to ensure that they were prepared to compete.
Home of Fight tweeted a clip from The MMA Hour, where Ariel Helwani reported that 'Rocky' had hired a F1 sleep specialist for UFC 304. The tweet caught the attention of Muhammad, who mocked Edwards and mentioned that his adjustment was much easier. He wrote:
"Dang all I did was buy a 10 dollar sound machine off Amazon."

Why did Leon Edwards hire a F1 sleep specialist ahead of Belal Muhammad bout?
Leon Edwards' extra measures didn't pay off as he was on the losing end of a unanimous decision to Belal Muhammad and lost his welterweight championship.
In the aforementioned tweet, Ariel Helwani reported the reasoning behind Edwards' team enlisting the services of an F1 sleep specialist ahead of UFC 304. He mentioned that the specialist having experience working with F1 drivers competing in several time zones was a major factor. Helwani said:
"His [Edwards] team told me before the fight that they hired an F1 sleep specialist because the F1 drivers are driving all over the world, different time zone, and so they felt ready to go. This was obviously a big talking point. He was fighting around 5:30 in the morning."
