Belal Muhammad pokes fun at Leon Edwards with a hilarious 'Home Alone' meme
Belal Muhammad appears to be having fun firing shots at Leon Edwards on social media.
'Remember the Name' keeps posting memes on Twitter, making fun of the current welterweight king and accusing Edwards of avoiding a fight against him.
In the latest post, Muhammad used a meme from the movie 'Home Alone: Lost in New York' to take a jibe at 'Rocky'.
In another post, Muhammad uploaded a photoshopped picture of himself as Santa Claus, putting coal in Edwards' Christmas sock.
A few days ago, 'Remember the Name' shared a morphed image of him submitting Edwards inside the octagon. The original image was from the iconic UFC 229 fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Belal Muhammad has consistently demanded a title shot against Edwards, especially since reports came out of former 170lbs king Kamaru Usman being possibly injured. 'Remember the Name' believes he has earned the right to fight for welterweight gold, and his resume backs up his claim.
With eight wins and one no-contest, the 34-year-old has been undefeated in his last nine UFC outings. Interestingly, the one no-contest bout was against Edwards. Due to an accidental eye poke by the Englishman, Muhammad was rendered unable to compete.
So, the history between the two could add another layer of excitement to a potential matchup.
Daniel Cormier speaks on the possibility of Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad
Daniel Cormier is in for a welterweight showdown between Belal Muhammad and current welterweight king Leon Edwards.
In a recent episode of the DC & RC show, Cormier said that if Usman was injured, he wanted Muhammad to be next in line for the welterweight title:
"I tap in on Leon Edwards having to be a part of the main event. I also tap in on [the fact that] Paddy Pimblett has to be on that card. There are only two musts for the London card. But honestly, I would like Belal Muhammad to get his opportunity. If it ain't going to be Kamaru Usman, Belal Muhammad is the guy who should be fighting for the belt."

UFC 286 is scheduled to take place in London. No main event has been announced for the card, but it would make sense for the UFC to put Edwards in the headliner, and Muhammad could fill the role of the challenger.
