Belal Muhammad responds to Conor McGregor's threatening message in deleted tweet: "I think that's cocaine"
Belal Muhammad recently addressed Conor McGregor's recent threats and issued a response for the Irishman. The reigning UFC welterweight champion also stated that 'The Notorious' needs "rehab" and is in no shape to return to the octagon.
For context, McGregor went on an angry rant against Muhammad earlier this month and expressed his frustration at not being booked for a fight after his initial UFC 303 comeback was indefinitely postponed due to an injury. The Irishman slammed Muhammad's fighting style and vowed to "cave his skull" if they ever faced each other in the cage.
McGregor also called Muhammad an "abysmal zero-revenue-generating fighter" and pointed out that he didn't have any knockdowns on his record.
In a recent interview on Submission Radio, Muhammad addressed McGregor's threatening to beat him and joked about the Irishman potentially being under the influence of drugs. He said:
"There's something in the air, and I think that's cocaine. This guy is always high or drunk, and the only way he can imagine beating me is if he's high or drunk. ...
"He won't be coming back to 170 [pounds], he won't be coming back to fighting, I don't think. He needs to go back to rehab and if he needs a ride there, I'll get him an Uber there. Somebody needs to help this guy."

When Conor McGregor called out Belal Muhammad for a welterweight title fight
Last month, Conor McGregor participated in a Duelbits livestream and called out Belal Muhammad for a fight at 170 pounds. While McGregor was expected to face Michael Chandler in his highly anticipated UFC return, 'Iron' booked a fight against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 after an extended delay.
With McGregor eager to make his octagon return, he's seemingly looking at Muhammad as a potential dance partner. During the livestream, the Irishman called the reigning UFC welterweight champion "woeful" and said:
"What do you think about Belal Muhammad as a champion? Oh, he’s woeful. I wanna fight him. Ok, Chandler’s matched. So, Belal [vs.] McGregor and UFC welterweight title on the line... I'm a force to be reckoned with at 170. I do damage at 170. Check the stats."
