Belal Muhammad roasts Conor McGregor with a GIF of him tapping to Khabib Nurmagomedov as the Irishman celebrates 9 years of Jose Aldo knockout
Khabib Nurmagomedov's submission of Conor McGregor back in 2018 is so monumental and historic that we still feel its effects to this day. Even though it's been six years since UFC 229, people are still trolling McGregor for it.
In a recent tweet thread on X, 'The Notorious' posted about another historic moment in his career - the 13-second, title-winning KO of Jose Aldo in 2015. The day was turned into 'Conor McGregor Day' in Ireland, something 'The Notorious' is undoubtedly proud of.
McGregor tweeted:
"Conor McGregor Day! 12/12 #HUGESUCCESS #SUCCESSSTORY #ITSWAS12SECONDS"
Reigning UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad threw a massive wet blanket on McGregor's celebration by commenting with a gif of Khabib Nurmagomedov's face crank on him:
"When’s tap day ? #mctap #mccrackhead #mcrapist"
Muhammad is turning into a master troll online. Not many fighters - or champions - are as sharp with their wit and creative with their jabs as 'Remember the Name'. He even hovered over McGregor's recent troubles with the law, mainly his being liable for assault on a woman back in 2018 - around the same time Nurmagomedov submitted him.
Khabib Nurmagomedov to coach three different fighters at UFC 311
While McGregor is out there celebrating 'Conor McGregor Day' and fending off an avalanche of bad press after his recent case verdict, Khabib Nurmagomedov will be octagon-side to coach three fighters in one night. 'The Eagle', who retired in 2020 and became a coach, will be cornering Islam Makhachev, Umar Nurmagomedov, and Tagir Ulanbekov at UFC 311 early next year.
On January 25, Ulanbekov will face Clayton Carpenter in the first fight of the prelims. Umar Nurmagomedov will challenge Merab Dvalishvili for the UFC bantamweight world title in the co-main event. In the main event of the evening, Makhachev will defend his UFC lightweight title in a rematch with Armenia's Arman Tsarukyan.
Since taking the helm of coach and mentor to his fellow Dagestani warriors, Khabib Nurmagomedov has had tremendous success teaching and cornering his teammates. His win-loss ratio has been remarkable - almost mirroring his perfect undefeated record as a fighter.
