Belal Muhammad shares plan to ensure Leon Edwards doesn't "cheat" during welterweight title fight at UFC 304
Top-ranked UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad will finally get his shot at world championship gold at UFC 304 on July 27. He will be challenging the UK's Leon Edwards for the UFC welterweight world title.
This fight is a long-awaited rematch between the two. Their first bout happened at UFC Fight Night 187 in March 2021, which ended in a no-contest after Edwards accidentally poked Muhammad in the eye during the second round.
With this in mind, Belal Muhammad and his fans will be watchful of Edwards' fingers on fight night, with one X user @sakk7272 posting:
"Are you prepared for all the cheating leon is gonna do? Fence grab, groin kicks, eyepokes, etc"
To this post, Muhammad replied with:
"I plan. On making him unconscious so he can’t cheat"
Belal Muhammad plans to mess with Leon Edwards' "sleep cycle" with his right hand
Belal Muhammad is truly making it a priority to send Leon Edwards to the shadow realms on UFC 304. The Palestinian-American MMA star recently replied to an X post, mocking his opponent's "sleep cycle" therapy.
As it turns out, Leon 'Rocky' Edwards is using a sleep cycle specialist to help him deal with the fact that he'll be fighting Belal Muhammad at around 5:30 AM in Manchester, England, where the fight card will take place.
Edwards told Tom Aspinall on YouTube:
"It's like sleep in the day and be awake at night, but then when I spoke to the guy, he was like, 'you can't do that because you need your body to see sunlight, you need daylight. You don't have to train at five in the morning, you get your body used to about 1, 2 o'clock in the morning and after that you should be fine'. When we fight at 11 o'clock, do we train at 11 o'clock? No, I'm done by 6 p.m. in my house so it's just moving the clock a little bit hour by hour."
