Belal Muhammad suggests Conor McGregor is clinging to relevance by inserting himself into big-fight discussions: "I don't think he's happy"
Belal Muhammad shared his thoughts on Conor McGregor and revealed the potential reason behind the former simultaneous two-division champion constantly inserting himself into big fight discussions.
Muhammad and McGregor have a history of taking jabs at each other. Recently, ‘The Notorious’ shared a laughing audio clip reacting to a moment when the reigning welterweight champion was stopped by guards when Shavkat Rakhmonov called out Muhammad during his octagon interview following his win over Ian Machado Garry at UFC 310.
McGregor has been found liable in a sexual assault case by an Irish civil court, involving the victim, Nikita Hand. It's unclear now if the Irish fighter will ever make his comeback to the octagon.
In his recent appearance on Jake Shields’ Fight Back podcast, Muhammad discussed his ongoing feud with McGregor and revealed potential reasons behind latter's fake callouts.
“He [Conor McGregor] always wants to put his name in the mix whenever there's a big fight. He would never fight, like when Holloway and Topuria fought, he wants to put his name in the mix. It's just... I think he's losing it. You have all the money in the world, but he wants that stardom."
"He wants that so bad. As they say, money doesn't buy happiness, right? I don’t think he's happy. You can just tell he's not happy… Now you're the stereotype for what people think fighters are—you're just drunks, you're addicts," he added.

Renato Moicano backs Belal Muhammad to secure an easy win over Shavkat Rakhmonov in a potential matchup
Shavkat Rakhmonov is likely to face Belal Muhammad for the title in 2025. Recently, UFC lightweight Renato Moicano appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show and shared his thoughts on the potential matchup, backing Muhammad to secure the victory. Moicano said:
"My money is on Belal Muhammad... I think Shavkat is not the boogeyman like they said. I think Belal Muhammad will make it look easy... Who is the best fighter that [Garry and Rakhomonv] have faced? Probably Geoff Neal, they both fought Geoff Neal... [Rakhmonov] looked good because he finished all his fights. But Belal Muhammad is good at what he does."
