Ben Askren urges UFC commentator Joe Rogan to invite "The Bitcoin Standard" author Dr. Saifedean Ammous on the JRE podcast

Ben Askren recently tweeted out to Joe Rogan, asking the popular podcaster to invite Dr. Saifedean Ammous on the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).

Dr. Ammous is the author of the bestselling book, The Bitcoin Standard: The Decentralized Alternative to Central Banking.

The former UFC contender tweeted his appreciation for the author, claiming that the book was an even better read the second time around:

"Just finished this again, even more awesome this time! @joerogan really needs to get @saifedean on before he leaves Austin, it would be a fascinating conversation. @michaelmalice @walruswhisperer @jordanbpeterson."

Dr. Ammous replied to the tweet by thanking Ben Askren and even offered to give Rogan the "orange pill."

Rogan's renowned podcast covers a wide and diverse range of topics, from aliens to MMA and everything in between.

It is no surprise that Askren has asked Rogan to invite a bestselling author whose books on finance and banking systems have impressed many readers. Dr Ammous has also authored books like The Fiat Standard and The Principles of Economics.


What does Joe Rogan think of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?

Joe Rogan is one of the biggest media personalities in the world. The 55-year-old comedian boasts a massive and loyal audience who love his podcast. He also serves as a color commentator for the UFC.

In recent times, the topic of cryptocurrencies has become a staple conversation piece on social media and the internet. Rogan himself has indulged in conversation with his guests on this very topic.

The comedian seemingly remains cautious of the world of cryptocurrencies, but views Bitcoin in particular as something he could get behind.

In a recent episode of JRE (#1899) with Yannis Pappas, Rogan claimed:

"I don't understand that whole world of crypto because there's so many of them now. Bitcoin, at least to me, was sort of semi-tangible... That's the king of crypto. The most popular. It made sense that it was curing a lot of the problems we have with centralized currency and the federal government controlling everything and f*****g inflation."

Rogan has previously stated that he believes in the future, a centralized digital currency will arise, which will be under the direct control of the government. He has also previously stated that he sees Bitcoin as an early form of the internet.
