"Biggest pathological liar on the planet" - Oscar De La Hoya drags Canelo Alvarez's name to blast Eddie Hearn's "train-wreck" resume
It appears Oscar De La Hoya isn't planning on settling his feud with Eddie Hearn anytime soon. The boxing icon recently sounded off on the Matchroom Boxing frontman in a lengthy rant and dragged Canelo Alvarez's name into their squabble.
For context, De La Hoya and Hearn have had a tumultuous relationship for several years. As juggernauts in the boxing promotion world, the two have also been competing for dominance in the U.S. market for ages. While both boast impressive rosters, De La Hoya doesn't believe Hearn has what it takes to make it in America.
A few days ago, 'The Golden Boy' went off on Hearn and blamed the Englishman for Anthony Joshua losing to Daniel Dubois last month. In response, Hearn dismissed De La Hoya's accusations and named Shakur Stevenson, Jaron 'Boots' Ennis, and Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez as three American stars on his current roster.

Hearn even pointed out that Alvarez had left De La Hoya and claimed Ryan Garcia's future was up in the air, given his recent troubles. In response, 'The Golden Boy' clapped back his rival promoter in the latest installment of 'Clapback Thursday' and said:
"You must be the biggest pathological liar on the planet to try and continue convincing us that you’re good at your job. It is a trainwreck. The Matchroom curse is a real thing, and you always bring up the fact that Canelo hates me."
De La Hoya continued:
"Yes, we hate each other, but it doesn’t change the fact that I promoted him for ten years and built him from scratch in the U.S... Canelo was with you for eight fights and dumped you because you’re incompetent and incapable of doing your job. Your record proves that. These are the facts."
When Eddie Hearn compared his relationship with Oscar De La Hoya to an Eminem song
Earlier this year, Eddie Hearn reflected on his relationship with Oscar De La Hoya and explained why the former professional boxer's trolling reminded him of Eminem's 'Stan' record.
During an interview with talkSPORT, the Englishman addressed his feud with De La Hoya and implied that the former light middleweight champion was obsessed with him like a diehard fan. He said:
"He's a strange fella. We've had various encounters face-to-face but he seems to just be trolling online... It is quite flattering, I was listening to the song Stan by Eminem, and it made me think of Oscar a little bit." [H/t: talkSPORT]
