"BJJ is life" - Lightweight submission grappling king Kade Ruotolo is equally menacing in both Gi and Nogi
BJJ megastar Kade Ruotolo has gone viral on Instagram this week after ONE Championship shared a video montage of Kade's 21-year obsession with Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
The Atos representative is one of the strongest grapplers on the planet due to his diverse skill set and unique submission-hunting attacks. Versatile in using both the gi and no-gi, Kade is the true definition of a well-rounded and successful martial artist.
So before the lightweight submission grappling king returns to action on Sept. 6, ONE Championship reminded us about the lifetime dedication Kade has for his beloved sport:

The Italian-American star has taken the daunting task of moving up two weight classes in his first attempt at two-division glory.

Kade Ruotolo recently explained the type of fighting style he feels most comfortable executing during a real-life grappling match.
There's no question that Kade is one of the most exciting grapplers in the sport. Why, you may ask? It's because he's a risk-taker, or what Kade calls, "spontaneous."
The lightweight king is experimental, willing to put himself in dangerous situations to come out with a win, or in most cases, a finish. So far, it's been working out for Kade.
Speaking to ONE, he said:
"Me for the most part, I try to be more spontaneous and less of a pace, more of just a window, more opportunity-based."
