BJJ superstars Cole Abate, Dante Leon join ONE Championship’s loaded submission grappling ranks
A pair of exciting grappling wizards have decided to take their talents to the world's largest martial arts organization following news of Cole Abate and Dante Leon both coming to an agreement with ONE Championship.
Abate and Leon are no strangers to the highest levels of Brazilian jiu-jitsu and they'll certainly fit right in the home of martial arts' highly-competitive submission grappling scene.
For starters, Abate is regarded as one of the brightest young stars in grappling. At just 19 years of age, the American has collected gold medals in major tournaments from his juvenile days up to his colored belt career.
The Art of Jiu-Jitsu representative received his black belt from the legendary Guilherme Mendes last year and hasn't looked back since.
Moreover, Abate also qualified for the prestigious ADCC World Championship when he was just 16 years old and already holds victories over notable names like Geo 'Freakazoid' Martinez, Estevan 'Giant Slayer' Martinez, and Deandre Corbe, among others.
Another new addition to watch out for is Leon, who's considered one of the most respected grappling experts in the BJJ circuit.
The 29-year-old Canadian's resume speaks for itself, a long list that includes two IBJJF World Titles and three IBJJF Pan-American Championships.
The multi-time IBJJF and ADCC medalist boasts an incredible blend of technical ability and supreme athleticism. Leon also has never been afraid to jump multiple weight classes and has impressive wins over Mica Galvao and Giancarlo Bodoni.

ONE also took to social media to welcome its two new grappling stars to the fold.
