BKFC founder ranks Jake Paul and Mike Perry atop list of Conor McGregor’s possible opponents for his bare-knuckle boxing debut

Conor McGregor became a co-owner of the Bare Knuckle FC (BKFC) in April 2024, and has since shared nothing but praise for the format that bare-knuckle fighting provides. So much so that the Irishman has indicated he would be keen to try his hand in the BKFC.

'The Notorious' is currently signed with the UFC, and would likely need to fight out his contract before being allowed to compete elsewhere.

Should the former UFC champion find himself available for a BKFC matchup, the founder of the bare-knuckle fighting promotion, David Feldman, has ranked a list of possible opponents for McGregor.

Atop the list sat Jake Paul, who has been plying his trade in the world of boxing for over six years now.

Feldman was recently interviewed by Inside Fighting, who listed five opponents for McGregor to rank from most exciting to least exciting. He said:

"Jake Paul number one, absolutely. Probably Mike Perry, just because I think people would want to see that, number two. Eddie Alvarez, Chad Mendes, Jeremy Stephens, they all kind of tie for the third spot. So I'm not really going to rank them third, fourth or fifth. I'm gonna say it's probably that."

He continued:

"Certainly Jake Paul, just because of the eyeballs. The funny thing is, is Jake Paul wants that fight in bare-knuckle and Conor wants that fight in bare-knuckle. If that happened, I think it's probably the biggest fight in combat sports history."

BKFC "is where it's at" says Conor McGregor, who slams state of MMA right now

Conor McGregor was impressed with the current state of MMA following last night's PFL: Battle of the Giants event.

The Irishman was of the opinion that too much grappling occurred during the fights, most notably during the Johnny Eblen vs. Fabian Edwards fight. Eblen retained his title after a dominant showing, employing his elite wrestling skillset to secure victory.

He took to X to slam the direction MMA was headed, whilst simultaneously told fans to watch BKFC instead, in two since-deleted posts.

He wrote:

"Act like yous aren't def up and over this b*llsh*t all yous want, but I won't. It's just become the norm nowadays.."

He continued:

"Bare Knuckle is where it's at. The future! And the future is now. There is zero feeling of an event dragging on... More intense. More deadly."
