Bo Nickal lets his feelings known on fans criticizing his performance at UFC 309: "Shut up"

Bo Nickal is seen by many as the next big thing in the UFC. The former three-time NCAA champion wrestler has been on a dominant run since switching over to MMA. However, his most recent performance has landed him a slew of criticism, and safe to say that the surging middleweight contender is not enjoying it.

Nickal clinched a unanimous decision win over Paul Craig at UFC 309. Interestingly, the skilled grappler relied little on his wrestling and instead chose to engage in a stand-up battle with 'Bearjew'.

This marked the first decision win of his MMA career. With fans grown accustomed to Nickal's shut-out performances, they were far from happy with the result.

By the end of the bout, the New York City crowd was chanting 'overrated' from the stands.

Now in a recent segment on his YouTube channel, Nickal clapped back at his naysayers, claiming that he had delivered the best performance of his career against Craig:

"I fought the best and smartest fight of my career and nobody is going to change my mind on that. So if anybody has a problem with it come over to freakin ATT [American Top Team] in Pleasant Gap and strap up. If you have got a problem with it you can see what it feels like to get punched in the face. So otherwise shut up."

Bo Nickal weighs in on Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall debate

With Jon Jones' reluctance to face Tom Aspinall, many suspect that the UFC heavyweight champion is afraid of the Englishman. However, Bo Nickal doesn't subscribe to such narratives but is convinced that 'Bones' will beat Aspinall in a potential fight.

During a recent segment on his YouTube channel, the middleweight contender doubled down that Jones is the best heavyweight in MMA, saying:

"Bro this dude fought prime [Mauricio] 'Shogun' Rua, prime freakin Chael [Sonnen], prime [Alexander] Gustafsson, prime 'DC', prime Lyoto [Machinda]. He fought every good guy... Dude come on, and he is afraid of Tom, he is afraid of a British guy?... I think [Tom] is a really good fighter but I just don't think he beats Jones."

Dana White has confirmed that the UFC is working towards making Jones vs. Aspinall. However, the heavyweight champion seems more interested in a legacy-defining match-up against Alex Pereira.
