Bokang Masunyane banking on his ‘speed and agility’ to undo Mansur Malachiev at ONE Fight Night 25

Bokang Masunyane believes his speed and agility will be the ticket to another big win in the stacked strawweight MMA division.

This Friday night, Oct. 4, 'Little Giant' returns to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand seeking his third straight win and 11th overall. He meets Russian standout Mansur Malachiev in an encounter, which could be a title eliminator.

Coming off two big unanimous decision wins against Hiroba Minowa and Keito Yamakita, Masunyane has more than proven that he can go the distance and dominate a fight from bell to bell. He'll look to prove that again against Malachiev inside the Mecca of Muay Thai.

"I can always take the fight into the deep end," Masunyane told ONE Championship. "And I feel my speed and agility is going to play a big factor in winning this fight."

Thus far, 'Little Giant' has only one loss on his resume—that came against interim ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks.

If Masunyane sees his hand raised at ONE Fight Night 25, he could very well set the stage for a long-awaited rematch between the two top-five fighters.

Mansur Malachiev seeks first ONE world title opportunity with a win over Bokang Masunyane

Like Bokang Masunyane, Mansur Malachiev has only lost one fight in his mixed martial arts career which came against another reigning ONE world champion—Joshua Pacio.

Still, Malachiev's victories over Jeremy Miado and Yosuke Saruta under the ONE banner have solidified him as the fifth-ranked contender in the division. With a win over 'Little Giant' in The Land of Smiles, he'll likely jump up and take Masunyane's spot as the second-ranked contender. He will set the stage for a scrap with the winner of an inevitable Brooks vs. Pacio unification clash.

Who leaves Thailand with their biggest win yet and one giant step closer to a shot at ONE Championship gold?

ONE Fight Night 25 will air live via Amazon Prime Video in the United States and Canada on Friday, Oct. 4 in U.S. primetime.
