'Bonus hunter' Johan Ghazali to add Josue Cruz to his growing highlight KO reel at ONE 168

Johan Ghazali is ready to add Josue Cruz to his list of knockout victims at ONE 168: Denver.

With less than 24 hours to go, the 17-year-old phenom is zoned in on capturing an awe-inspiring finish in front of his Malaysian-American friends and family.

In the last year, 'Jojo' has had an enormous amount of success in challenging and defeating world-class athletes, such as former WBC Muay Thai world champion Edgar Tabares and Russia's Termirlan Bekmurzaev.

So don't let his age fool you, Ghazali is a genuine star.

On Sept. 6, the Rentap Muaythai Gym representative hopes to prove his worth on the American stage, starting with a new winning streak, and a 50K bonus.

Revealing his plan against Cruz, the flyweight Muay Thai sensation told Nickolas Atkin:

"The plan every time in a fight is to get the knockout, [get] 50 G's, you know. So, hopefully third time's the charm."

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.

"I expect to be here" - Johan Ghazali always expected to join ONE Championship after dedicating his whole life to Muay Thai

Indeed, Johan Ghazali is "right where he belongs" in ONE Championship. It's almost unbelievable that he is considered one of the best strikers in the world at just age 17.

However, with so much time and effort invested into his passion sport, Ghazali said the goal was always there from the beginning and that he never faltered in believing in himself:

"If you asked four or five years ago, if I would be in the position that I am today, I would say, 'You're damn right.' All the hard work I put in, the consistency I put in, I expect to be here."

Ghazali was on a mission from the start. After securing a 100K contract with the largest combat sports promotion on the planet, 'Jojo' feels a sense of fulfillment in achieving his childhood dream.
