"Born to rock the world" - Check out Superlek's epic journey from unheralded Muay Thai gem to a global superstar
Superlek Kiatmoo9 never thought he get to be where he is now, after growing up in the rural countryside of Buriram province in Thailand.
The flyweight kickboxing kingpin was first introduced to Muay Thai at the age of 8 when his grandfather took him to a local gym that was just 300 meters from his house. From that moment onwards, Superlek's life changed forever.
He immediately fell in love with the sport, determined to imitate the generation of old, and became a multi-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion. Since then, Superlek has compiled over 130 wins in his stellar career, including an outrageous 10-fight win streak in ONE Championship.

Superlek is getting all the help he can get to make a smooth transition from flyweight to bantamweight
Superlek is taking preventative measures with a new sports scientist in his camp to make sure his weight is on point before his fight at ONE 168.
The Thai superstar is not prone to miss weight for a fight, but when he did for the first time against Rodtang Jitmuangnon last September at ONE Friday Fights 34, it was all people talked about.
Superlek missed the mark by a whopping five pounds, converting their five-round Muay Thai world title brawl into a catchweight three-round fight. He disappointed himself and many fans in the process.
But, with time ahead to prepare, Superlek has hired a sports scientist to make sure he stays on top of things.
Speaking to ONE, 'The Kicking Machine' said:
"This is my first time moving up to bantamweight, so he's been a big help."
