When Michael Chandler called out Conor McGregor
Few MMA fans will forget the epic event that took place at UFC 274 last year. Gilbert Burns and Khamzat Chimaev went to war, Aljamain Sterling defeated Petr Yan in their rematch and Michael Chandler truly shot to star status.
'Iron' faced veteran and fan favorite Tony Ferguson in a highly anticipated lightweight bout and delivered both a stunning finish and post-fight promo. After an even first round between the pair, Chandler broke the hearts of 'El Cucuy' fans when he dropped the former interim champ with a vicious front-kick that handed him the KO victory.
A win over Ferguson wasn't enough for the 36-year-old however, as he grabbed the microphone from Joe Rogan and demanded a fight with the Irishman:
"I got one dude on my mind! Conor McGregor! You gotta come back and fight somebody! I am the most entertaining lightweight on the planet. I want to up the stakes Conor, I want you at your biggest, I want you at your baddest, I want you at your best. You and Me, 170lbs!"
