BREAKING: Conor McGregor's former training partner Dillon Danis set to fight KSI in January after massive altercation incident
Conor McGregor's former training partner Dillon Danis is confirmed to fight YouTuber KSI on January 14 at the MF & DAZN X Series 004 pay-per-view event. The bout, scheduled to go down at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, was confirmed shortly after Danis and KSI were caught in a scuffle.
The bout was announced during the broadcast of Saturday’s Misfits Boxing 3 broadcast. KSI cut an in-ring promo and Danis was immediately invited on stage to join him.
KSI rose to fame on the celebrity boxing circuit with back-to-back outings against Logan Paul, drawing an amateur bout and winning a pro matchup via split-decision. The rapper then went on to knockout his contemporary Swarmz and professional boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda on the same night earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Dillon Danis hasn't competed since 2019 after going 2-0 in the Bellator cage. However, 'El Jefe' has managed to stay in the headlines by jibing at various prominent fighters. MMA Fighting's Damon Martin has confirmed with Bellator officials that Danis was given permission to sign on for this boxing match.
Danis recently ate a right hand from Jake Paul's teammate Anthony Taylor during a the Misfits Boxing 3 weigh-ins.
