Breaking: UFC lightweight vets Michael Johnson and Diego Ferreira set to fight in May

According to MMA reporter Alex Behunin, Johnson vs. Ferreira will be added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 225 event, which is yet to have a location and venue announced.

Despite losing the following fight to Jamie Mullarkey via split decision, he earned a bonus for Fight of the Night, and most recently earned a unanimous decision win over Marc Diakiese at UFC on ESPN 42. The former TUF runner-up will look to win back-to-back fights for the first time since 2018.
Meanwhile, Ferreira is currently on a three-fight losing skid and his UFC tenure could be in jeopardy should he lose his fourth straight.
Prior to the losing skid, the Brazilian was riding an impressive six-fight winning streak that included wins over Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Jared Gordon, Rustam Khabilov, and former UFC and WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis.

Michael Johnson's MMA record of 21-18 doesn't exactly do a justice to his career. 'The Menace' he has been an exciting fighter to watch during his 13-year tenure with the UFC.
Johnson has fought a number of top lightweights and has gotten his hand raised. In fact, he even has wins over former interim lightweight champions Tony Ferguson and Dustin Poirier.
