Brendan Allen demands response after calling out Dricus Du Plessis

Brendan Allen doubled down on his callout of Dricus Du Plessis.

On March 4, Du Plessis advanced his UFC record to 5-0 by defeating Derek Brunson in the second round at UFC 285. One day later, the South African-born fighter was on the receiving end of a callout from Allen. ‘All in’ had this to say on Twitter:

“5 rounds Fight Night main event in June! @dricusduplessis dont hide behind a number lets run it! OR main card on #IFW PPV. @AliAbdelaziz00 @Mickmaynard2 @danawhite”

After several days went by without a response, Allen became impatient and demanded an answer from Du Plessis by saying this on Twitter:

“I just want you to publicly deny a fight with me and use the number as ur excuse, so everyone else can know you just dont wana take an L because you and i both know thats the truth"

Allen last fought in February, securing a third-round submission against Andre Muniz. The win gained more value at the last second after Ryan Spann vs. Nikita Krylov was scrapped, putting ‘All in’ vs. Muniz in the main event. The 27-year-old now holds a promotional record of 9-2, including four consecutive wins.
