Brendan Schaub comes out in support of former UFC champion Conor McGregor amidst talks of PED use
Brendan Schaub has come out in support of Conor McGregor and stated that the superstar's use of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) to recover from the horrific injury he suffered against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 is understandable.
Schaub recently spoke on the subject of McGregor's alleged use of PEDs and his withdrawal from the USADA testing pool for the entire year. On his Thiccc Boy YouTube channel, Schaub stated:
"UFC? He's the cash cow. Do what you gotta do to get back. Because when he does compete, he's going to be clean. It's a gray area... You guys judging Conor or anybody that's done things out there and [suffers] a horrible injury like that, you don't know what the f**k you're talking about. The stakes are so goddamn high. I would do the exact same thing."

The allegations about Conor McGregor's PED use likely stem from the fact that the Irishman looks bulked up in his recent pictures, paired with USADA themselves, admitting that they have not tested 'The Notorious' for the past 12 months.
Conor McGregor is highly expected to make his return to the UFC octagon next year with a possible move up to welterweight. With viable and eager opponents like Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira, it seems like an opportunity that the UFC won't miss.
Conor McGregor fires back at Anthony Smith over USADA chide
Conor McGregor has taken to Twitter to fire back at Anthony Smith for the latter's remarks about the Irishman's absence from the USADA testing pool.
The light heavyweight contender recently spoke on Michael Bisping's Believe You Me podcast, and while he did not state the obvious, 'Lionheart' hinted that McGregor might be using steroids or other banned substances. Smith called attention to the speed of the Irishman's recovery and how he's bulked up in the last year.
Conor McGregor tweeted his angry response to 'Lionheart' and called him out in a series of tweets:
"This rat spoke to Weidman who had the same horrific injury and is having severe complications still, is bothered that I was able to heal/return to a normal way of life. He, like many other rats in my game, would be happier if I wasn’t able to play with my children the same way again."
McGregor also claimed to be the most tested fighter of all time while comparing his own contributions to that of Smith, calling the light heavyweight a "loser."
'The Notorious' further continued his rant, recalling Smith breaking his own leg against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 277.
